She talked about him. And I could see the way her eyes shone, and the way she could not help but keep smiling at the sound of his name, or at a memory of him. And as I listened, I mastered the art of smiling as I felt my heart bleed.

But in the end, I realized I love my friend more than the guy I fell for on first sight. So I won’t stand in her way. Or even dare hope for myself. Because I don’t want to see the light dying from her eyes.

A breaking heart makes no noise.

I did pretty well on the Cardio exam today, considering the fact that I only started seriously studying around 14 hours before the exam. For some reason, my mind works best under pressure. Hehe. This is called Rationalization.

I’ve got a crush on Cabeludo. Shhhh.

I’m left with two realizations. Either:

1. He’s still out there.

or

2. He doesn’t exist.

I’m home. And there’s no place like it.

As I waited on the bench, with 35 mice in two separate boxes beside me, he came. And we talked about this and that as he ate his vending machine lunch of coffee and bread sticks.

Maybe someday, he’ll wake up and realize I was there, in the background. But I have ceased looking forward to that day.
